The Club hosted a Burns’ Supper on Wednesday 25th January to raise funds for the Parish church. 48 people came and enjoyed a tasty four course meal prepared by the church wardens, Margaret Warrener and Elaine Whittaker.
After a prawn and melon starter, Fiona Morrison slaughtered a wee beastie while reciting Rabbie’s “Address to a Haggis” before the main course of haggis, neeps, whisky and tatties was devoured.
A selection of desserts and then cheeses completed a glorious menu.
The evening raised around £900 for church funds, including a donation from the Club’s bar profits.
