Friday Night Drinks with a festive, competitive twist on 7th of December

The club saw a fantastic turn out for the recent Christmas Games Night, brilliantly organised by Judith and Paula –thank you for all your efforts ladies!

There were four events that members could take part in, with a prize given to both the Men’s and Women’s Champion in each event.

Skittles proved to be the most popular event of the evening, with 17 people taking part. The Women’s title was taken by Sue (despite best efforts from Jo!) and the Men’s title was won by Paul – much to everyone’s surprise (Sorry Paul, but we all had our bets placed on Brian for the win!)

The pool competition got fiercely competitive, especially in the bid for the Women’s title. This eventually went to Sharon, who just managed to beat Jo in a very close game! The winner of the Men’s pool championship went to Dave.

Dominoes was another popular, if a little less raucous, event with 8 competitors fighting it out to win one of the coveted boxes of biscuits! The Men’s title went to Neil and despite a good challenge from Lauren, the Women’s prize went to Jane.

And finally, darts! A few of us may need to work on our maths skills before the next Games Night, but thanks to a couple of the slightly more number savvy members we got there in the end!

The final game went to Derek (A modest winner, as you can see bottom right!), who beat Paul to take the Men’s title, and the Women’s championship went to Sue!

Well done everyone, thanks for coming along and taking part – we hope to see you at the next one!
